Can they bill my vehicle insurance to me if I open a new policy today?

I was recently abandoned by my boyfriend (he’s out of town for a month) and my car is not legal. I want to open a new insurance policy but do not have the cash to make the initial payment. Can they bill it to me?

They can bill you, but it won’t necessarily be due immediately. It will usually be due in about a month or two.
